Privacy policy

Johan Nova Designs (“we”, “us”) designs and installs seasonal decoration for homes and buildings from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through johannova.com and our emails, why we collect it, who processes it for us and the choices you have.

What we collect

• When you send a request through our form: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number if you give it, city or zip code, the season, the areas of the house, whether you want to buy or rent the pieces, the photos you choose to add, your message, and the page you wrote from, including any campaign tags in the link.
• When you join our emails: your email address.
• When you write to us by email, phone, WhatsApp or Instagram: what you send us, including photos of your home if you choose to share them.
• Technical data our hosting provider needs to serve the site: IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept in server logs for a limited time. The site stores one small setting in your browser so the newsletter window does not reappear once you have closed it.
• Site statistics.We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, how you arrived, approximate location, device, and whether a request or a sign-up was completed. It sets cookies and sends this data to Google, which processes it under its own policy. We do not use advertising trackers. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or with Google’s opt-out add-on.

How we use it

• To reply to your request, prepare a design and a price, and carry out the project you commission: scheduling, installation, takedown and storage.
• To send you a short series of service emails about your request: confirmation that we received it, a note if a proposal is waiting, reminders the day before installation and takedown, and a request for a review once the season ends. You can reply to any of them.
• To send our emails a few times a year, with season dates, new collections and recent work, if you joined the list or asked us to keep you posted. Every one of them has an unsubscribe link.
• To keep records of past projects so we can plan the next season with you.

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for other companies’ marketing.

Who processes it for us

• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France): our client database and the service that sends our emails. Data is stored in the European Union.
• Vercel Inc. (United States): hosting for johannova.com.
• Google LLC (United States): Google Analytics for site statistics, as described above.
• Google, Meta and WhatsApp: when you contact us through Gmail, Instagram or WhatsApp, those services process the conversation under their own policies.

Our providers act under contract and only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep requests and project records while we work together and afterwards, so we can plan future seasons with you and meet our legal obligations; we review inactive records every few years. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any of our emails, or write to us.
• Access, correction and deletion: write to us through the contact page and we will act within 30 days.
• If you live in a region with specific privacy laws, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or certain US states, you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local authority. We honor these requests wherever you live.

Security

We work with established providers, with encryption in transit and access limited to the people who need it to work on your project. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you.

Children

Our services and this site are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

International transfers

We work from Florida. Our email and client-database provider stores data in the European Union and our hosting provider is in the United States; transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual safeguards.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
